Anders Norén is a lover of WordPress and you can tell though his work. He has a whole range of great themes that are well worth taking a look at before you decide which free theme to download. His work really stands out amongst the free theme repository on WordPress.
Lovecraft is a 2 column, responsive blog theme. The design is nice and simple and the article pages look great. Everything is well laid out, the typography is good and the theme is very user friendly making it perfect for a wide range of different blogs.
