Like all of Fueltheme’s work, the design of Notio is top notch. The demos look great and every single element has been designed with great attention to detail. Notio would be perfect for freelancers or create agencies and comes with plenty of different page layouts for both the homepage, shop pages, blog pages and most important for a portfolio theme – project pages.
It’s also great to see some really nice examples of ‘about us’ pages. There are a few included in the demo and they both look very professional. I love about us pages because I like to know more about companies I deal with and get a feel for what the culture is like. If you’d like to have your own about us page on your website you cant go wrong with Notio’s examples.
Behind the Scenes
Notio is different to most themes because it is built entirely using Visual Composer – a very popular drag and drop page builder plugin. This is a controversial approach as some people think that page builders don’t belong in WordPress themes at all and some people think they are great and like to see them bundled in with their themes.
I personally am more aligned with the belief that they should not be included with themes at all and that WordPress core functionality should be used whenever possible to keep the theme lightweight and simple. Having said that, each theme should be judged on it’s own merit and I cant deny that the quality of the Notio theme is incredibly high.
If you’re a user who is familiar with Visual Composer and likes using it then you will be delighted with this theme. If you’ve never used Visual Composer and you don’t mind learning how it works and spending some time putting your layouts together then you should also be happy with Notio.
