The Voux WordPress Magazine Theme

The Voux is an awesome magazine theme by one of the best authors on Themeforest – Fuelthemes. If you take a look at their portfolio on Themeforest you will see just how popular their themes are and I think the Voux is one of their best with nearly 4000 purchases already as I am writing this.

I don’t normally recommend themes with endless layout options and tons of features simply because users often buy them thinking they are getting good value for money but in reality you will never use most features and it will be difficult for you to create a website that looks as good as the demo unless you have some design and development skills.

But doesn’t the theme have a demo import feature I hear you ask? Well yes it does, as do most themes on Themeforest but many users find that after importing the demo they like and then putting their own content in place things just don’t look as good as you hoped. This is because the demo sites have been created by expert designers and the content is perfectly suited to make the demo look great so unless you have a good eye for design you may be disappointed with the results.

I really believe that you are best off buying a theme that closely resembles what you want to achieve right out of the box but I cant deny how good the quality of Fuelthemes work is so if you are happy playing around with Visual Composer (a plugin used to create drag and drop layouts in the admin area) and you have a good eye for design and plenty of time available to create you website then you won’t be disappointed with this theme.

Anyway, now I’ve warned of some possible downsides of ‘mega’ themes I’ll focus on whats good about the theme, and there are loads of good points! Firstly, the designs in the demos are awesome. They are all very modern and well thought out, exactly how you would expect a high end magazine website costing thousands of dollars to look. There are many different options available which can make the theme perfectly suited for different kinds of magazine including food, travel and fashion magazines.

The Voux also has lots of different options for article pages which all look great. If you’re willing to invest some time getting to grips with Visual Composer then you should be able to achieve any kind of layout you have in mind.

All in all, this is some great work by a trusted and reliable theme author on Themeforest.
